Inpatient urology department

I offer preceptorship with myself at a busy inpatient urology department at MSMC in Miami Beach. I am there M-F 0600 to 1400, so students may attend clinical at anytime within those hours. As I work alongside residents in this department, students also benefit from being able to "pick the brains" of these residents.

I am currently working in a psychiatric setting.

I do psychiatry initial evaluation, medication management, prescribe medications, and the psychotherapy

Family medicine office, 100 patients per day

We are licensed as a family medicine office and as an urgent care. We see all ages as well as women's health.

I currently work in SNFs and LTC providing post acute care. I also work in a PCP office.

I am always willing to precept however I am in school too so hours could be a possible issue. I typically work from 9-2.

Adult sleep apnea care clinic offering home testing and treatment.

Participant will be supervised by another APRN and under my direction.

I work for HouseCalls division of United Health Group making annual home health assessment visits. This is an excellent opportunity for beginning NP students to hone physical assessment skills. There are opportunities to practice point of care testing such as A1C, FOBT, simple urine dipstick, QuantaFlo peripheral artery disease testing, patient and family education, interaction with community PCP, initiate case management and social worker consult and prescribing. There is also the possibility of completing virtual video visits. The patient population is adult and gerontology.

I am extremely interested in giving back to future healthcare providers. The preceptorship is conducted in a supportive environment with one on one meetings to extend beyond on site clinical hours if requested/needed.
